Case Summary

It is critical that aircraft engines be properly shielded from electromagnetic energy. Such energy occurs from radar and radio waves as well as from nuclear events. Engines not properly protected can fail in flight.

General Electric Engineer, Ian Johnson, blew the whistle on unsafe bonding efforts which impacted General Electric engines placed in a variety of government aircraft, including the President’s aircraft, Air Force One.

The B-1B Lancer and B-2 Spirit Bombers, and the F-14 Tomcat and F-16 Fighting Falcon fighter jet engines were also impacted.  We successfully negotiated a settlement of Mr. Johnson’s qui tam lawsuit which exceeded $10 million.
